Program Overview

Framework and Objectives of the Program:

  • To prepare students for scientific research in the field of criminal law, for roles with judicial functions, and for participation in national committees tasked with revising criminal legislation.
  • To master both substantive and procedural knowledge in the domain of criminal law.
  • To deepen specialization and research methodology in criminal law and develop the ability to resolve legal and judicial issues in this field.
  • To develop students’ intellectual understanding in line with international standards for crime prevention, as enshrined in national constitutions and international conventions.
  • To enhance students’ understanding of criminal phenomena and methods for addressing them, with a focus on studying various, especially modern, criminological theories that underpin the development of a national criminal policy strategy.
  • To develop the capacity to analyze legislative texts and legal doctrine within the field of criminal law.
