The Master’s Degree in Biotechnology and Biotherapy is an academic program offered by Frères Mentouri University Constantine 1. This program provides in-depth training in the fields of plant, animal, and medical biotechnology. It aims to equip students with multidisciplinary skills, enabling them to understand and apply biotechnologies, particularly in the fields of healthcare products, recombinant proteins, and new therapies (gene and cell therapy), with a special focus on the therapeutic applications of natural biomolecules.
The program is structured over four semesters, each corresponding to 30 transferable credits. The first three semesters include theoretical and practical courses, organized into core, transversal, methodological, and exploratory teaching units. The final semester is dedicated to an internship in a company or research laboratory, leading to the writing and defense of a research thesis.
The teaching is delivered on-site and on a full-time basis, with a weekly workload of 20 to 25 hours, including lectures, tutorials, practical work, internships, and study projects.
