Browse Programs Admission InformationThe academic master's program "Climatology, Hydrology, and Territory" is designed as a logical continuation after three years of undergraduate studies (bachelor’s degree) in spatial planning. This two-year program consists of Master 1 (M1) and Master 2 (M2) and represents the second state university diploma, situated between a bachelor’s degree and a doctorate.
The program aims to train students in key fields related to water, climatology, surface hydrology, and associated risks. Upon completing the program, students will acquire skills that can be applied in both the private and public sectors to address issues related to the exploitation, management, and protection of water resources on the scale of watersheds.
This training includes fundamental teachings and practical know-how essential for careers in the field, including:
· Field measurements and observations,
· Methods for processing and analyzing spatial, temporal, and cartographic data,
· Numerical modeling in disciplines like hydrology and climatology.
Additionally, students have the opportunity to pursue higher education through a "Doctoral Program."
General and Dynamic Meteorology
· General Climatology
· Surface Hydrology
· Hydrogeology
· General Atmospheric Circulation
· Climate Risks
· Flood Risk
· Dynamic and Climatic Modeling
· Mobilization and Management of Water Resources
· Bioclimatology
· Applied Climatology
Students will be able to take up roles in both public and private sectors, specializing in hydrology and climatology. They may also choose to continue their studies by pursuing a doctorate, at either the University of Constantine 1 or other institutions.
The master's degree, which is a postgraduate program equivalent to a bachelor's degree + 3 years (bac+3), is accessible after completing a bachelor's degree (licence).
