Program Overview

The Academic Master’s Program in Foreign Language Didactics spans two years and is designed to meet the following goals:

1. General Objectives

  • Respond to the growing demand for qualified instructors in FLE (French as a Foreign Language) and FOS (French for Specific Purposes), particularly within CEIL centers and LMD language modules.
  • Enhance existing skills and develop practical expertise in FLE and FOS.
  • Showcase innovative educational or developmental projects linked to various academic fields.
  • Promote research in the didactics of FLE/FOS, especially through partnerships with French departments.

2. Specific Objectives

By the end of the program, graduates will be able to:

  • Organize and supervise practical internships in classroom observation and teaching.
  • Design and develop curricula for teaching FLE/FOS.
  • Master and integrate multimedia tools into FLE/FOS instruction.
  • Conduct research related to the didactics of FLE/FOS.
  • Carry out training needs assessments in continuing education.
  • Understand and develop training and certification frameworks.
  • Apply effective facilitation techniques in adult education and ongoing professional development.

In addition, the program supports research-focused objectives related to FLE and language education, including:

  • Building a multimedia resource base tailored to research needs.
  • Publishing in specialized academic journals.
  • Organizing and participating in events related to foreign language education (seminars, conferences, colloquia, etc.).
  • Establishing a network of experienced practitioners to support action-research initiatives.
