The knowledge targeted through the Master's programme in Applied Linguistics is to enable students to become familiar with modern linguistic approaches and theories of discourse and text analysis, and to understand the theoretical foundations of language teaching and translation, as well as providing them with the methodological tools for scientific research through techniques for collecting and analysing linguistic texts, and the use of applied statistics and field research in the study of linguistic phenomena. The programme also aims to develop applied knowledge that allows students to apply linguistics in various practical fields such as language teaching, translation, lexicography, media and literary discourse analysis, and natural language processing using modern digital tools.
