The Master's program in Literary Studies aims to enable students to achieve a set of objectives and acquire a range of competencies, including:

  1. Enabling students to develop their academic abilities and linguistic skills, preparing them for writing research papers, theses, and dissertations, and training them in rigorous academic writing and composition.
  2. Providing students with a solid understanding of the frameworks and foundations of literary theories and literary studies.
  3. Enabling students to grasp the transformations that have occurred in literary schools, movements, and trends, and to understand the laws and dynamics governing these changes.
  4. Familiarizing students with a variety of literary theories and trends, and helping them understand the fundamental principles and concepts of each theory, while mastering the specific terminology and conceptual frameworks.
  5. Developing the ability to clearly and accurately distinguish the boundaries and overlaps between the various literary movements and schools.
  6. A deep understanding of literary texts—their hidden meanings and underlying structures—prepares students to apply diverse critical approaches to the analysis of these texts.
