Browse Programs Admission InformationThe Master's in Literature aims to deepen students' knowledge and research skills in the fields of literature, language and criticism, and to qualify them to produce original scientific research. It also aims to train researchers who are able to contribute to intellectual and cultural movements, enhance their critical and analytical skills, conduct scientific research, and open up to other cultures through the study of global and contemporary heritage.
It also focuses on theoretical and academic studies in the humanities and provides an opportunity to enhance knowledge and understanding, enabling the preparation of qualified scientific cadres who meet the needs of society in the field of literary studies after acquiring, through this track, a literary knowledge base that enables them to practise professionally in their field of specialisation.
This master's programme aims to direct students' attention to contemporary and international Arabic literature in its various genres and types, after they have acquired the necessary knowledge base in literature. The programme is divided into four semesters, comprising two stages:
• The first stage is devoted to joint teaching of several disciplines or specialisations in the same field.
• The second stage involves specialised training and teaching students how to conduct research and write articles and research papers.
This opens up broad horizons for students to conduct research at the doctoral level, where they will focus their attention on specific aspects of the various units and metrics studied.
