Program Overview

The Master in Printed and Electronic Journalism is an advanced academic program designed to prepare students for a sophisticated media environment that merges journalistic traditions with digital innovation. The program focuses on the mechanisms of news production, analyzing Journalistic Genres in Print and Electronic Press, while understanding the reality and evolution of the Press in Algeria.

Program Objectives Integrated with Curriculum:

·        Methodological and Theoretical Foundation: Providing students with critical tools through Critical Trends in Media and Communication, while ensuring professional compliance via Media Legislation and Ethics.

·        Technical and Digital Proficiency: Focusing on mastering modern tools such as Data Journalism, Electronic Newspaper Design, and Web Writing skills, alongside understanding the foundations of Digital Journalism and managing Media Campaigns.

·        Professional and Research Qualification: Preparing students for field management through Media Institution Management and Specialized Journalism, culminating in the Preparation and Defense of a Thesis, supported by Field Internships and Workshops.

Admissions Information

·        The applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information and Communication Sciences (Specialization: Information, Communication - LMD system or Print Journalism - Classical system).

·        The student must have successfully completed all semesters of the Bachelor's degree, earning a total of 180 credits.

·        All educational units (UE) across all semesters must be fully acquired/passed by the student.

·        Sufficient pedagogical seats must be available to allow the student to continue the training.

·        Full academic supervision must be provided, especially for the modules within the core educational units.

Admission to the specialty is subject to the decision of the pedagogical committee following a formal review of the application file.
