Browse Programs Admission InformationThe Master in Linguistics is a four-semester academic programme (two semesters in the first year and two semesters in the second year). Students must complete thirty (30) credits per semester. During Semesters 1, 2 and 3, students must attend lectures, followed by continuous assessment and examinations. During Semester 4, students are required to prepare a dissertation and defend it in front of a jury.
The core language science courses cover a number of key linguistic theories such as pronunciation, pragmatics, conversation analysis, sociolinguistics and semiotics.
Developments in linguistics, particularly in conversational linguistics, have prompted us to give the Master’s programme a direction that enables it to keep pace with current research in the field.
Students with a bachelor’s degree in French Language and Literature or equivalent will be admitted to the Linguistics programme. Admission will be subject to the number of teaching places available
