Training of Sports Performance Specialists to Supervise the Development of Various Age Groups in the Improvement and Development of Sports Performance

The training of sports performance specialists aims to prepare them to perform a variety of tasks related to the development of sports performance across all age groups. This training is designed to provide the theoretical and practical knowledge necessary for specialists in this field, enabling them to refine various aspects related to sports, such as:

  1. Understanding the Physical and Psychological Characteristics of Each Age Group:
  2. This part of the training includes studying the development of physical and psychological performance of athletes of different ages, as well as how to adapt training programs according to the specific needs of each age group.
  3. Planning and Programming Sports Training:
  4. Learning how to design training programs tailored to each age group, considering the progression of training loads and techniques used according to physical and physiological growth stages.
  5. Specialized Training in Sports Sciences:
  6. The training covers various fields, such as training science, sports psychology, sports nutrition, and sports medicine, in order to provide comprehensive scientific supervision.
  7. Performance Analysis in Sports:
  8. This includes the use of tools and technologies to analyze athletes' performance, such as GPS technology and movement monitoring devices.
  9. Management of Sports Injuries:
  10. Training specialists in the prevention of sports injuries and the management of potential injuries during training or competitions.

Curriculum Highlights

Core Courses

Train students on the human, economic, legal, and technological environment of sports training.

Learn how to exploit the economic, administrative, and organizational environment specific to the activities of sports coaches through field internships and practical outings in preparation for field placements, allowing the application of theoretical knowledge in practice.


Advanced Topics

A student in the sports training program can obtain the title of physical trainer in one of the specialized sports followed, become a physical education and sports teacher, or work in the technical framework of national or even international federations.

They can also benefit from the opportunities provided by agreements concluded between universities and the Higher School of Sports Science and Technology regarding equivalences of national diplomas in the field of sports and coaching diplomas. Holders of a bachelor's degree in sports training in either collective or individual sports benefit from the second-degree rank in the followed sports specialty, in accordance with decree No. 59 of April 4, 2021, to benefit from the second-degree rank in the followed sports specialty.


Admissions Information

The student must have successfully completed the first year with the required number of credits, and possess the necessary physical condition and mental health to move towards the acquisition and deepening of the theoretical and practical concepts related to the field of sports training. The student is also required to master the methods and tools related to the development of sports performance, particularly the methods of training and physical preparation, as well as performance enhancement programs. Moreover, the student must acquire the necessary knowledge to analyze, diagnose, and improve sports performance, while also learning the various processes related to the improvement of physical and mental resources within the framework of sports performance.
