Browse Programs Admission InformationThe Modern and Contemporary Arabic Literature program aims to develop students' research and critical skills in this field, deepen their understanding of the role of modern and contemporary Arabic literature in culture and identity, and prepare them for academic research and teaching in this field.
The LMD system allows the student to prepare for a second scientific degree, the master's degree, of an academic nature, obtained after 3 years of study (6 semesters + 2 years, or 4 semesters). The license allows the acquisition of basic and semi-specialized knowledge in the field of Arabic language and literature in general (ancient literary text, ancient literary criticism, research techniques, Quranic sciences, morphology, syntax, etc.).
As for the master's degree, more precisely in the specialization "Modern and Contemporary Arabic Literature", it aims for specialization and excellence (poetics of the Arabic and contemporary poem, cultural narratives, poem and image, postmodern criticism, cultural anthropology, etc.)
