Program Overview

Private law is considered one of the most important branches of law in general, where the student deals during his course of study with topics related to the special relationships that arise between natural or moral private persons, and the increase in the size and breadth of these relationships would follow the emergence of legal issues that require specialization and depth in various fields of private law, where the student deals with issues and aspects that relate to individuals, and does not directly affect state affairs, and private law mainly includes the study of property rights, contracts, family, in addition to trade laws... It is studied over four semesters in the second and third years of the Bachelor of Private Law, and it is an introduction to the branches of private law that are studied at the master's level separately.

Core Courses

In this area, the basic training in the field of private law can be focused on the following:

- A basic course at the Directorate of Commerce in the wilaya of Constantine, where the student can familiarize himself with the practical aspects of the Directorate of Commerce in everything related to the commercial shop, commercial companies and related activities.

- A basic course at the Algerian National Institute for Industrial Property, where all procedures related to the filing and registration of industrial property elements are recognized and the most important practical issues are closely examined.

- A basic course at the Real Estate Governorate to learn about how and how the Real Estate Governorate works to register and legalize various real estate transactions, focusing on practical issues

Advanced Topics

The holder of a bachelor's degree in private law can pursue a career in this specialty both professionally and academically:

- Academically: Continue his career in the available private law sub-specialties, whether at the University of Constantine 1 Brothers Montouri or in other higher education institutions, such as business law, insurance law, real estate law, in-depth private law, digital law, and criminal law.

- From the point of view of the concerned: The possibility of access to the world of work, such as participating in judicial and legal competitions and many administrative ranks in various public and specialized administrations, which are in line with the subject of specialization.

A student who has completed a bachelor's degree in law for a startup project in accordance with Resolution 1275 can also enter the business world by establishing an organization or company in line with the privileges available in this regard.



Admissions Information

In order to be admitted to this specialization, a student must pass the first year LLB in Law with a minimum score of 20/10 or a score commensurate with the transition to this next stage: A score of at least 30 out of 60 allows the student to move to the second year of law (private law), and this stage is followed by another stage that includes passing from the second year of the LLB to the third year of the LLB (private law), with a score of at least 10/20 or moving with a score of at least 105 out of 120.
