Program Overview

The Master's program in Islamic Civilization aims to prepare students and researchers with a solid scientific foundation in the field of the history of Islamic civilization in its various religious, political, legal, economic, urban, intellectual, literary, and artistic aspects, across its different historical stages (Prophetic, Umayyad, Abbasid, Seljuk, Mongol, Indian, Mamluk, and Ottoman...), and in the historical regions that witnessed the development and flourishing of Islamic civilization (the Muslim East, the Muslim West, Muslim Africa...).

Most of the courses offered in the program revolve around topics directly related to the history of Islamic civilization, such as the history of Islamic regimes, the history of Islamic civilization, and the history of cities and metropolises in the Muslim East and West and in Muslim Africa.

Baccalaureate degree or equivalent

Bachelor's degree in History and Islamic Civilization or its equivalent.
