Program Overview

The Master in didactics of Foreign Language is, like all Master's programs, a two-year course of study (4 semesters). The training in this Master offers a rich and specialized training in language education and multilingualism, providing a balance between theory and practical applications. It covers fundamental aspects such as speaking pedagogy, writing pedagogy, theories of language acquisition, pedagogy and assessment, etc., while integrating complementary dimensions, notably the history of methodologies of teaching French as a foreign language, the various purposes and issues of research in pedagogy, etc. New technologies and artificial intelligence in pedagogy are also highlighted, offering modern perspectives for analyzing and teaching languages in different contexts. The aim is to train professionals, teachers and researchers who are able to understand the mechanisms of the situation in the classroom, solve complex educational issues and design educational and technological solutions adapted to current needs. This master's degree prepares students to face contemporary challenges in the field of education and its applications. The program culminates in the defense of a final thesis written by the student under the scientific supervision of one of the lecturing professors and under the auspices of research methodology training spread over three semesters (the fourth semester is dedicated solely to writing the thesis).
