Browse Programs Admission InformationThe Arabic Linguistics program aims to provide students with in-depth linguistic knowledge focused on Arabic and to equip them with the analytical and theoretical tools necessary for the study of this language, both theoretically and practically. It also aims to develop students' research skills and prepare them for university teaching or practice in fields related to the Arabic language.
The LMD system allows students to train towards a second scientific degree, the Master's degree. This academic degree is obtained after 3 years of study (6 semesters + 2 years, or 4 semesters). The Bachelor's degree allows students to acquire basic and semi-specialized knowledge in the field of Arabic language and literature in general (ancient literary text, ancient literary criticism, research techniques, Quranic sciences, morphology, syntax, etc.).
As for the Master's degree, and more specifically the "Arabic Linguistics" specialization, students strive for specialization and excellence (grammatical schools, philology, linguistic theories, dictionaries of meaning, linguistic research methodology, etc.)
